"Peace
and Harmony; The Needs of Present"
A discussion program on the theme "Peace and Harmony: the Needs of Present" has been jointly organized by NCBL and WODES at Balambu village, Kathmandu on 21 March 2004. In that program Ambrogio Vigano the leader of Gruppo Solidarity- Italy and members of the team, the representative of ICRC-Nepal, Former parliamentarian, Representative of Youth for Peace, WODES and 75 local women participated in that program.
The former parliament member and representative of networking member organization of NCBL presented the painful story in Ramechhap district during the conflict.
Shirish Pandey from Youth for Peace, Rabina Maharjan from Women Skill Development Project WODES, Kamala Shrestha and Purna Shova Chitrakar from NCBL addressed on that occasion.
Mr. C.Oscar Avododri, M.D. surgeon Medical Coordinator of ICRC, Nepal shared the information about the prosthetics project going to start , in Pokhara Nepal, from April 2004. He said that the project has eight to ten prosthetics capacity in a month. He explained that ICRC will provide prosthetics as well as the expenses of travel, food and accommodation to the victim and one guardian who takes care during the treatment.
