What is Landmines ? It is a destructive weapon, which is laid under the ground or surface and is detonated or exploded when tread upon by human beings or animals. Mainly landmines are of two types:

1. Anti-tank 2. Anti-personnel Anti-personnel mines explode with a low pressure or pressure of weight from 7 kg to 100 kg. So even if a child happens to tread on it, it explodes instantly. Anti-personnel mine thus is very dangerous for it is designed to kill or maim human beings. It can't discriminate whether a war is going on or has ended long ago and remains active even for decades after the was has ended. Formally, said to be laid to maim and kill the enemy forces, landmines has been misused to clear territory, destroy the food sources, wipe out certain tribe of people, create a crowd of refugees and to create terror among the people. Apart from this, landmines causes a massive damage to the environment. Hence it is a form of the most dangerous lethal weapon.
