| NCBL started a support
program for the victims who were
victimized by Landmines and IEDs. Total 50 victims from 10 different
districts will be supported in this programs. Hari Bahadur Karki from
Ramechhap who lost is right hand in an explosion was given a Photo Copy,
Printer, Fax & Scanner machine to run a communication center in
his home town. Another victim Tara Khatri from Gulmi was given a schoolarship
for his studies, he is now studying in class 12. Likewise, Sundar Karki
from Dhading who lost six friends in an explosion and living with a
fractured leg was also given a schoolarship for his studies, he is also
studying in class 12.
Ten persons who had been
victimized in Madi, Chitwan have also been supported in this program.
Hari Kala Pun for a Cosmetic Shop; Sabitri Dhakal was given a sewing-machine,
materials and training; Jagat Maya Gurung was given goods to establish
a grocery shop; Dhana Kumari Poudel and Durga Maya Magar was given goats
for goat cattle; Bishnu Maya B.K. was given rented land for farming;
Krishna Adhikari was supported to run a communication center; Laxmi
Kanta Ghimire was supported to form a fish farming; Sita Subedi was
supported to established a grocery shop and Purna Bahadur GC was supported
for buffalo cattle.
From Sindhupalchowk district
Yam Bahadur Shrestha - grocery shop; Ashok Thapa Magar and Nisha Thapa
Magar - studies; Patali Bharati and Pralahd Tamang - goat cattle; Hiralal
Tamang - buffalo cattle were also supported in this program.
