Interaction Programs on
Commitment of Political Parties on Mine Ban for Sustainable Peace

An Interaction Program among the political parties and party wings on "Commitment of Political Parties on Mine Ban for Sustainable Peace" was organized by NCBL on 7 May 2008. On that occasion Purna Shova Chitrakar, Coordinator, NCBL; Brig. Gen. Dhani Das Karki, Nepal Army; Hon. Pradip Gyawali, Former Minister, Member of Peace Dialogue Committee and Central Member of CPN (UML) presented their papers. Simillary, Hon. Amrita Thapa Magar, CPN (Maoist); Hon. Hom Raj Dahal, Nepali Congress; Mr. Ratneswor Lal Kayastha, Madhesi People Rights Forum; Mr. Santu Darai Parwana, Division Commander of PLA - CPN (Maoist) delivered their speeches. Mr. Maurice Baril and Ms. Kim Henrie-Lafontaine representatives of Canadian Government were present as guests of the program and Mr. Maurice Baril delivered a speech.

In the program, representatives of 17 political parties and 6 party wings were participated and expressed their views and commitments on MIne Ban.
